New Year's Eve
It's that time of year again. When most people plan to go out to a bar or private party and drink to celebrate the coming of the new year.
I'll say this right now. I have no problem with any adult who wants to drink. Go for it, have fun, get silly. Just don't get stupid. If you're going to drink, DO NOT drive. Bring extra money for a taxi, bring a designated driver, plan to be picked up, or plan to stay over. Just do not get behind the wheel of any moving motor driven vehicle. Don't let a friend who has been drinking drive either.
Here in Canada the server can also be held legally responsible if a patron is involved in an accident due to impairment.
Be Smart.
Stay Alive, don't drink and drive.
Who knows, the life you save might even be your own.
Happy New Year to all, and to all a good night. Comment

Spring Cleaning ~ A Little Early.
I want Spring back.
Now.
In an effort to entice Spring to come back I've decided to "spring clean" my blog. Bear with me, I'm very new to html so changes will probably be minimal and happen over a large period of time.
I love Spring, all the pretty flowers popping up. Summer is okay, sometimes gets way too hot and humid. Winter can go fly a kite for all I care. It's too darn cold for my liking.
Autumn is the best though. Crisp clean air, beautiful colours everywhere. It's my favourite time of year. It also happens to be the time of year for my wedding anniversary. :P
But, I can't get to Autumn without going through the other seasons first. Winter is here now but I've had enough of it.

Blast From The Past.
What the heck was he doing there? How did he know I'd be there? Does he have ESP? Did he figure he'd try to rub my nose in the fact that he moved on with his life?
Who knows what thoughts run through his mind anymore. For those of you wondering who "He" is, he is *Jay*. Someone who meant a lot to me a long time ago. I haven't seen him in about 5 years.
We grew up together. Road the same bus to school, shared some of the same extracurricular activities, etc. He told me once that he'd been in love with me since I was 14 but felt that he couldn't do anything about it until I was at least 16 because he was 2yrs older. He actually didn't do anything until I was 18, when he figured I'd be receptive to his overtures. We only dated for about a month. It was long distance at the time and way too hard for two people w/o a vehicle between them. I hurt him, then he hurt me, then he hurt me again. Then I didn't see him for a long time, about 5yrs.
He showed up at my parent's house on Boxing Day. When he could clearly see the 4 vehicles in the drive. He's married now, with an 8 wk old daughter. Well boo-yea for him. I got married too. But I didn't get married cause I was preggers. It just seemed very strange that he would visit out of the blue like that, after so long.
Ah well. I am very happy with my life and my love. And in all honesty, I wish him happiness in both as well.
~Phew~ It felt good to release that. Thanks for reading.
Take care =) Comment
