Oops, it's been a while.
I'm here. I'm alive. I'm just snowed in. ~sigh~
It's been cold and snowy and windy all week. Monday I had a doc's app. for the annual event that I missed doing in October cause of the wedding. He says "Lets wait until April, your birthday, that way you won't forget. It will be your birthday present from me, a blood test and pap smear." Oh JOY. Not. :S
Tuesday and Wednesday have kinda blurred together for me. I'm not really sure what I did beyond the usual computer and cooking. I just know it was cold, snowy and windy both days.
Today DH and I cleared out the drive enough for DH to get to town for a few things. I stayed home to wait for the phone guy. We had a fax line put in for the MADD office that we've set up in the spare room. The phone guy arrived after DH had gotten home. On a bright note though, DH brought home a 5lb box of Seedless Mandarin Oranges. MMmmmmmm. I love oranges.
To make up for barely helping with the shoveling this morning, I made yellow split pea soup w/ ham and grated carrot. Pretty good but next time I have to thicken it more. I'm just glad we'll get 5 meals each out of it.
I've started stitching the snowperson on Uta's rr for my Snowpeople RR.
I've got the bands done on Sherrin's rr for my Any/All Designer Band Sampler RR.
I'm waiting to hear back from Customs to appeal the charge for Romy's RR.
I'm going to be doing some model stitching for a dear sweet person from the TWBB. I'll let y'all know how it goes, but there won't be any hints unless I'm given clearance. ~lol~
I guess that's all for now. No news on the money or job front. I keep applying but apparently I'm either not experienced enough or too educated. ~rme~
Take care & talk soon. Comment

Brains and Dynamite
It amazes me how many complete and utter idiots are allowed to drive a motor driven vehicle.
Today was cold with wind and blowing snow. The highway wasn't plowed worth peanuts (being polite here) and we were passed at least twice on our way into town.
Why do some people not think when they are driving in bad weather? Does their brain fall out of their head when the get in the car? Do they put it in the trunk for safekeeping? Or did they never have one to begin with?
The majority of motor driven vehicle incidents are caused by stupidity.
DH didn't go above 75k/h on the highway which is marked at 100k/h. The ONLY reason we were out today is because some things couldn't wait until better weather.
Ah well, I've got the next two days to sit inside where it's nice and warm, stitch and cook good warm food.
I hope everyone has a safe and happy weekend. Comment

Losing Track Of Time
I meant to post yesterday. As you can probably guess by my title this morning, I lost track of time with a few projects.
It seems to be my lot in life. I can very easily lose track of the time. Doesn't matter what I'm doing which means that I shouldn't try to do more than one thing at a time either.
It started the day before yesterday actually. I started cleaning out and sorting my craft room. It had gotten scary since planning the wedding. I was cleaning and sorting so long that I completely forgot about supper until DH came to the craft room door and said "What's for supper?". ~Aw crap~
Yesterday, I continued with the sort out then proceeded to draw up a design that grew in my head the night before while laying in bed. I was smart this time though. Before I started designing I asked DH to cook supper instead. That worked out well. I got to imurse myself in the design and we got fed at a reasonable time. I got one design almost complete and another about half done. It's all Jennifer Aikman-Smith's fault. One of her designs inspired me. ~lol~
After supper was yet another project. Sherrin's RR for the Any/All Designer Band Sampler RR on the TWBB Round Robin board. It's a wonderful collection of purples, whites, and silvers. I picked 3 bands, and am now almost done. I completed 2 bands last night and am about 1/3 of the way through the 3rd. All that stitching while listening/watching Pride & Prejudice. I ended up going to bed at about 2:20 am this morning.
Well, I guess that's all for now. Gotta check the boards, feed my neopets, and read my friends' daily musings in their own blogs.
Have a great day. =) Comment
